Concert-ballet Igor Stravinsky : Neoclassicism in Music took place on November 22, 2012 at Theatre Femina in
Bordeaux. During euphoria of creativity at the beginning of the 20th century which resulted in many new forms of
art, like with Picasso and Kandinsky, Igor Stravinsky invented neoclassicism in music. He has parted with the
orchestration a la russe as also with ideas of destroying music's inherent order and created his own language of new
sonority, of new instrumental force and violent rhythm. This special concert-ballet featured today's most
outstanding musicians and dancers: violinist Olivier Charlier, cellist Josef Feigelson, pianists Marie-Josephe Jude,
Michel Beroff and Roustem Saitkoulov, and ballet stars of the National Opera of Bordeaux directed by Charles Jude.
